Support Your Ceramics. Prevent Chipping.
The success of a layered restoration (PFZ or PFM) depends entirely on the substructure design. A coping that is too small causes unsupported porcelain to fracture. A coping that is too bulky kills your esthetics.
Our Coping & Framework Design Service focuses on Anatomical Reduction. We design full contour first, then “cut back” evenly to ensure your porcelain layer is uniform, reducing internal stress and firing shrinkage.
Technical Engineering Specs
We customize the framework parameters based on your specific layering technique:
Design Parameters
- Cut-Back: Standard 1.0mm – 1.5mm (or customized to your preference).
- Cervical Collar: Lingual metal/zirconia collars for hygiene (optional).
- Connector Size: Maximized for strength, positioned for hygiene.
- Margins: Thin, sealed margins (0.1mm) reinforced for milling stability.
Applications
- PFZ (Porcelain Fused to Zirconia): Frameworks for zirconia layering.
- PFM (Porcelain Fused to Metal): STL files for SLM (Selective Laser Melting) or Wax milling.
- Hybrid Cases: Combination of implants and natural teeth.
Why Outsource Frameworks?
Designing frameworks is technical and less “artistic” than the final contouring. By outsourcing the coping design to China Dental Designs, your senior technicians can focus purely on the high-value ceramic layering, while we handle the structural engineering overnight.
Seamless Workflow
- Scan: Upload your scan files.
- Specify: Tell us the cut-back amount (e.g., “Full cutback” or “Facial only”).
- Receive: Get the precision STL file by 8:00 AM EST.
Test Our Support
Send us a 3-unit bridge framework to test our connector design and marginal fit.
